Different types of filter foams
Filter foams are available in different types.
Filter foams are open-celled and reticulated foam materials specifically designed for filtration, ventilation and absorption applications. Their unique structure allows them to effectively filter liquids, gases and particles, while still maintaining high air and liquid permeability. Filter foams are widely used in the (water) industry, automotive, medical sector and air treatment systems because of their versatility and durability.
Filter foams are available in different types.
Reticulated polyether (blue) filter foams offers a balance between filtration and permeability. It is often used in aquatic (water) filtration. This type of foam offers an optimal balance between durability and filtration efficiency. Polyether foam can withstand water and moisture very well. These reticulated foams can be produced in various pore sizes (PPI = pores per inch).
Reticulated polyester (black) filter foams offer coarse or fine filtration capacity and are commonly used in air and liquid filtration, such as in HVAC systems, water treatment plants and industrial air filters. Thanks to the open cell structure, small particles are effectively retained, while the flow of air is maintained.
Reticulated polyether or polyester filter foams can be made to measure, in various colors, with coarse or fine filtration capacity, suitable for various purposes. White (colorless) filter foams are also an option, these are often used as outdoor cushions for garden furniture, but also for industrial applications outdoors or underground.

Our filter foams are used for various applications due to their unique properties.
Filter foams are often used in ventilation systems, dust and pollen filters, and water filtration. Thanks to their open-cell structure, they can effectively retain unwanted particles without significantly impeding the flow.
Due to their dampening properties, filter foams are used in acoustic (outdoor) applications, such as sound-insulating walls, engine compartments and heat pump insulation. They reduce sound reflections and ensure better sound absorption.
Filter foams (reticulated polyurethane foams) offer a wide range of benefits for various applications. Thanks to them open-cell structure they are extremely effective in air and liquid filtration, where unwanted particles are retained without significantly impeding the flow. In addition, they are durable and reusable, because many filter foams can be easily cleaned and retain their functionality for a long time. Their light weight and flexible properties make them easy to cut to size and use in various industrial and technical applications. In addition to filtration, filter foams offer excellent shock and sound absorption, making them suitable for applications where vibration damping and acoustic insulation are important. Thanks to this versatility, they are widely used in sectors such as automotive, HVAC systems, medical applications and industrial production.
Filter foam is an open-cell foam material that allows gases or liquids to pass through while capturing unwanted particles. Compared to traditional filter materials, such as paper or textiles, filter foam offers a higher flow capacity and a longer lifespan because it can be washed and reused.
