It starts with a sketch
Every application starts with an idea. We ask you to convert this idea into a clear sketch, including all necessary information, namely: quantities, dimensions (mm), possibly radius, type of foam, possible options (glued, self-adhesive) and other important information regarding your application. We would like to know from you what the foam must meet in terms of preconditions (water resistant, high tear strength, fire retardant, etc.).
We discuss the possibilities
Based on your sketch and the information provided, we can provide you with technical advice. Regarding the choice of foam, manufacturability, tolerances, affordability, ideal quantities and do's and don'ts with regard to your design. We would like to invite you to UXEM in Lelystad, so that we can help you convert your idea into a manufacturable end product or semi-finished product.
CAD drawing and production
Once the feasibility of your design has been tested and quantities and materials are known, we kindly ask you for a technical drawing in 2D AutoCAD format (dxf/dwg) before we can start production. We often recommend a tailor-made sample prior to placing the order. If necessary, we can convert a clear sketch into a technical drawing for you on request. After approval of the custom sample, a 'first production run' follows before the high numbers are produced.
Which material do you choose?
We understand very well that the choice of material is difficult to make. UXEM has more than 150 different types of flexible foams. As a customer, you can make a pre-selection based on sample boxes provided free of charge. Our sales team will advise you based on costs, ideal dimensions and other specifications for your application, such as density, color, fire retardancy, cell size, etc.
Processing foam
All our foams can be processed on a wide range of machines (processes) to deliver your semi-finished product as complete as possible. You can think of (CNC) cutting, punching, milling, thermoforming, 3D cutting, laminating, self-adhesive making, bonding, assembling, packaging, etc. UXEM offers unique options that are not available anywhere else to deliver completely customer-specific.
Your semi-finished product
At UXEM you buy directly from the source. The real producer of the foams themselves AND supplier of the foam, who can also carry out operations up to and including the semi-finished product. This means that UXEM produces and packages in bulk. This gives you the best price and advice from the production specialist. In special cases (for high quantities), UXEM can even package products as an end product or provide them with a manual or barcode, etc. For manual work, we can also collaborate with a suitable partner/social workshop.
